Sync now occurs. Original bug fixed. Thanks.

However the data changes that were made on the recipient before sync are lost.

Similar results have been found with changes to other database. It seems that the sync process uses the saved version of xml file to perform sync with which makes sense but can result in unexpected data loss.

Suggest that "sync" and "wait for sync" forces a message asking for save, forces a save on option being taken or forces a save on sync negotiation (depending on settings for auto save possibly?) to ensure that entries are not lost.
