#2 Tivo 7.1a-01-2-240 crashes Java server

My Tivo 240 seems to crash the Java HME Server that is
serving the applications. It repeatedly gets
connections to the icons (which makes sense) but slowly
the applications begin to disappear until eventually no
applications are seen in the Music, Photos and More
screen. My 7.1.a-02-2-540 does not seem to experience
the same problem.

I run Skull and Bones. Press the Tivo button to
escape. Then re-enter the Music, Photos and More
screen. And let it set and eventually I get the following.

There does not seem to be a call to setActive(false) in
most of the applications as advised in the HME
document. But adding that in did not seem to make a
difference.
