TILP (formerly GtkTiLink) can transfer data between Texas Instruments graphing calculators and a computer. It works with all link cables (parallel, serial, Black/Gray/Silver/Direct Link) and it supports the TI-Z80 series (73..86), the TI-eZ80 series (83PCE, 84+CE), the TI-68k series (89, 92, 92+, V200, 89T) and the Nspire series (Nspire Clickpad / Touchpad / CX, both CAS and non-CAS).

The project is now managed on Github, https://github.com/debrouxl/tilp_and_gfm . It uses the libti* libraries, https://github.com/debrouxl/tilibs .

  • I have TI85. I bought the Silver-Link on Amazon (USB to calculator cable). I connected the calculator to my PC running Ubuntu 22.04. Ran TILP and was able to get screen capture, do backup and download variables and programs. I first tried but Windows 10 did not work. I found it a bit hard to understand how to send files (program, variable, equation... etc. are all files) from calculator to PC. First in Tilp one needs to click button to receive variables. Then in calculator side one should press 2nd+link, then select what type of thing needs to be sent, then one needs to *select* the file from the catalog (not enough to just press "XMIT"). Only after selecting one can press "XMIT" to send. The file will appear to the rightmost split view in folder where the view is located at that time. Nevertheless, I give 5 stars because how useful this program is.
  • I have used this guide so many time over the years! Very valuable information for anybody reading raw TI files.
