what do you deem necessary to get context support started ?
you know, that there are some config file which can directly be edited without too much knowledge of the internals of tmx, namely you could create a .cwl file for command completion and the uiconfig.xml could be changed to adapt the "Latex"-menu ...

If there is an easy way to get syntax highlighting too, would be a good start.

the basic syntax highligting is defined in utilities/qxs/tex.qnfa (in the source code for tmx)
