I keep getting the "Texstudio has been paused due to a possible endless loop" warning each time Texstudio need to load a file and often also when jumping to a specific position in the code from the PDF viewer. I believe that it is due to my computer being slow and TexStudio too sensitive. Would it be possible to set the sensitivity? Could you also speed up the jumping to a specific position?

Which version do you have? I already made it a little bit less sensitive in 2.5.2 compared to 2.5.1.

I think I set to around 40 second.

How large are you files? There is already a check to temporarily disable the loop check, when a file that is larger than 30KB is loaded...

How long does it take to jump to the source? It should be instantaneously.

You can also disable it, by setting Crash%20Handler%20Type=5 in the ini file.

Thank you for your prompt replay. I have TeXstudio 2.5.2 (SVN 3661)
Using Qt Version 4.8.1, compiled with Qt 4.8.1 R. I am writing my thesis
and it consists of many files with sizes in the range 1KB to 479KB. The
main file is 48KB. Jumping to the source takes between 10sec to a few
minutes, when the infinite loop warning occurs and TexStudio freezes
even though I choose to continue. The only solution then is to kill it
and restart. I will try disabling it next week.

    Best wishes,
    Torbjörn

closed because it seems to be related to a very slow computer. This should not happen for a normal user. Moreover, in the rare cases it might occur, it is possible to deactivate the crash handler.
