#1217 Spellchecker error in splitting words

In the following line:
\paragraph{L'uomo che sapeva contare --- Malba Tahan --- Salani (2009)}
the spellchecker identifies the not correct word: "Tahan --- Salani" i.e. it does not stop at ---
This is the only instance of this problem in a page full of books titles formatted the same way as the book above.
Yes, it is a minor problem.

BTW, The language is set to it IT.
The dictionary has been downloaded and installed (files it_IT.aff it_IT.dic) under Dictionaries
