Did you also change your mainfile entry in the Latex properties of your project? You can also turn on partial building, then it should build your file after you have saved it.

Texlipse works with projects and building of the main tex file is done automatically after save, this is part of the Eclipse philosophy. If you use partial building TeXlipse builds the file you are currently editing.

No, I have not done that, I figured I would find a context menu or anything that would allow me to tell texclipse to simply build the selected file.
