#21 Need to press enter key 2 times

If the telnetd server is running on a winxp machine
and the telnet client(on naother win xp machine)
contacts this server, the user needs to press enter 2
times foe each edit field . The weird thing is that
this is not happening for a telnet server on winx xp
and client on solaris or win 2000.

This problem can be simulated with the dummy shell
given in the telnetd2 jar.

Also note that if the client and server are running on the
same machine, this problem is not there.

The client on your machine most likely does not comply with the telnet
specifications. The specification explicitely requires the telnet client to send
CRLF, likely yours doesn't.

I'd suggest to report this bug to Microsoft.
