This is not news at all, rather a warning that this project has been inactive in the last years, and you are advised to research more recent projects if you are looking for a web testing tool, such as the ruby based webrat.

Namespaces cleaned up, file upload added and much more. Mature enough to be called 1.0. See the current api documentation at http://tclwebtest.sourceforge.net/doc/api_public.html for details.

As discovered by Grzegorz, if you access google with tclwebtests standard user-agent header it will reject the access, whereas any other random user agent string will work. Wohoo!
