I'm the Debian maintainer of the tcl and tk packages (8.0, 8.2, 8.3), as
well as tcllib and tclreadline. Currently, 1.2.0 is the version in Debian.
I'm considering updating it to 2.1.0, but I have a few concerns first.
Number one, is this even recommended? If the authors feel that 1.2.0 should
remain, I have no problems with that.
Second, what (if any) compatability problems should I be aware of between
1.2.0 and 2.1.0? Should I be aware of any possible breakage in other
packages that utilize tclreadline?
I'm not subscribed to the list, so I'd appreciate a Cc: on any replies.
