I have logfiles which change their name regulary e.g.
with date components like logfile-mm-dd-hh-mm.log.

It would be useful to be able to open them
automatically when the next file with such a
specifiable pattern appears in the directory and
eventually close the predecessor file (or even a
configurable number of files from the past e.g. Keep
the last n files with this filename pattern open).

Thanks for the great work
Klaus

    I like this idea!

I shall investigate to see what can be done.

    Thanks!

    Paul.

I would love to see this in place as well!

It seems most of the stuff we tail are logs with changing
    names.

We could also make a little script to call tail, but can
you make multiple calls to tail.exe and have it open all
the files in the same window somehow?
