The swsusp2-patch 2.0.88 ("current test patch") doesn't apply cleanly to vanilla 2.6.7.

It worked for me. You have to expand the tarball and apply patches in order one at a time, indicated by the leading numbers in the patch filenames.
Only the 20 and 30 series are required. The 10 series patches will only apply cleanly if you have already applied the feature patches.
