#550 Program fails to open

Program itself will open in "new file" mode, but hangs when i select "File / Open"
If i try and select the .sh3d file from my drawings folder the program opens and then just crashes immediately thereafter

    As explained in the introduction of the ticket form, it would be nice to describe your system, the version you use, etc… otherwise it's impossible to help you.

    Thanks for this detail. Apple requires that applications distributed on the Mac App Store to be "sandboxed" and it looks that in a few cases sandboxing causes some issues for a few users (I experienced issues myself many times with Apple's own sandboxed applications!).

    To ensure I understand your initial description. Your second sentence let me think that when you double-clicked on an existing sh3d file, Sweet Home 3D was launched and tried to open that file. Where did you get that file? What do you mean by "the program crashes"? Did it quit or simply refuses to open the file?
