#197 Impossible to create new wave form from scratch w/generators w/o opening existing file

Hi there, I am using version 2.2-dmo3 (Debian Multimedia).

Apparently it is not possible to create wave forms using one of the generators within a fresh & empty project. This workflow looks quite straight forward to me, however? I suggest to change this.
