Linux v1.01a up (finally)

It took me a while to upload it (I think sourceforge was having problems with their upload ftp server?), but I've finally uploaded a working linux version/source tarball. The configure script will now set the SA_USING_WX2_5_3 define automatically, based on the results of wx-config --version, so you don't need to worry about that anymore. Like I said in the SourceCodeNotes, I would recommend using v2.5.3 on Linux, as it is a bit nicer than the older version.... read more

Sorry...

I just realised I forgot to include the saBaseTest files in the new source/linux tarball. If you want it to compile, you'll either have to get them from cvs, or just comment out the #include "saBaseTest.h" in saObjectSpace.

Sorry about this, but I'll try and upload a better source tarball tomorrow, hopefully with a --using-wx2_5_3 flag for the configure script as well...

Linux problems solved?

Ok, I've fixed some of the worst linux & unicode problems, and updated the cvs, as well as uploading a new source tarball. Hopefully the linux version is a lot more stable now, although I still haven't found out how to make the SA_USING_WX2_5_3 define a parameter for the ./configure script.

First Release

Okay, so this is the Subvert Audio site on SourceForge. I was hoping to have working versions for all three (supposedly) supported ports (windows, os x and linux), but for various reasons (mostly related to my general ineptitude) only the windows version can really be considered stable right now.

There's a number of things wrong with the linux version: you should be able to pass the configure file a flag indicating you want to use wxWidgets v2.5.3 (my preferred choice), but I don't know how to do this yet; when using v2.5.3 in unicode (as is the standard on my debian/demudi system) it isn't able to save mappings because for some reason wxWidgets doesn't want to let me convert from unicode to char strings; the version up for download has a frequent tendency to crash using v2.5.3 & unicode when you turn the audio on, although I've now fixed this in cvs. Basically, I'd advise you to download from cvs for the time being, until I sort out the file releases bit better.... read more
