Subspace II / News: Recent posts

The UserDB service ss2db has been released. This offers centralised user name control and authentication for Subspace II. This service on its own, is not very useful, but once it is combined with the network service and Subspace II client it plays a much more important role.

The purpose of this service is to have a secure central user database, which any number of untrusted networks can connect to, whilst protecting the SubSpace II Client's user password. It does this though the use of RSA encryption.
