Playlists going empty when media folder is umounted and mounted again. Altought subsonic is finding the very same files with the very same path.

just happened to me in version 5.0. this is the fourth time it has erased the contents of my playlists. I cant trust Subsonic to hold my playlists anymore.

Sindre, unfortunately they did not appear again after scanning the media folder. The playlist names appear but all playlists contain zero (0) entries. This is a major bug and devistating to those of us who have multiple entries in each playlist. This has happened to me twice in the last 6 months and is extremely frustrating. Where does the information go? is it recoverable? At minimum, can backup text or comma delimited files be stored in user/playlist folders each time the playlist is saved so the list can be recreated if needed?

Is there a fix out yet? I've migrated from Windows to Mac and the file structure has obviously changed, I was on g:/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music and am now on /Users/me/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music
Music is all there fine but need playlists back

I too have run into this issue. It occurred after running into a general DB issue. The app wouldn't download any songs, even after a reinstall. This occured with all users on the server. The fix was to purge the DB, then reload the MP3s. After the music reloaded, some of my playlists were empty. Some contained a few songs. None contained all songs. In addition, the playlists which shows as empty have a file count and duration. Exported playlists only contain the visible files.
I am planning on recreating many of these playlists, then exporting to m3u8 as a manual backup, but this is a rather annoying procedure.
Is the original path of the file stored in the playlist DB?

I would expect them to appear again after you scan the media folder.
