Can't remove files using nautilus with submount

Hi,
I'm currently using Redhat 9 (Kernel 2.4), submount
version 0.6 . After I launch nautilus file manager with
subfs mount point, I can see all the files on the
diskette. I'd like to remove some files, so I move some
files to trash. The selected files disappear and I can
find nothing when I doucle click Trash icon on desktop(
I thinought there should be deleted files in the
Trash). When I check use "ls -la" command to list
contents of floppy diskette, I found it created a
folder called "Trash_$username"; and in the folder
there are the deleted files. I can remove them using
"rm" command. But how can I remove them using nautilus
file manager?
Thanks.

This seems to be normal nautilus behavior, so submount has
nothing to do with it. You'll have to ask on a Redhat or
nautilus lsit.

Hi, Yossarian,
Thanks for response. I test using normal fs (not subfs),
mount USB floppy diskette, launch nautilus file manager;
After I move files to Trash, I can see the deleted files
when I double click "Trash" icon on desktop, and I can
select "Empty Trash" to permanently remove the files on the
diskette. But when I use subfs, same procedure, I can't see
deleted files list after click "Trash" icon. I wonder if
something interrupt between nautilus and subfs when I move
files on diskette to Trash, and the "Trash" just display
nothing.
Thanks.

I had alook at the nautilus code, so I now have a pretty
good idea of why it did this. Unfortunately, it can't be
fixed without changing the nautilus code. Nautilus uses a
different mechanism (the generic gnome-vfs facility) in the
upcoming Gnome 2.6 version, though it may have the same
probelm. If it does, I'll submit a patch to the Gnome
maintainers with a fix or a workaround.

I found alternative solution for the problem, so I close it.
Thank Yossarian.
