most vendors define their own specific configuration mechanism. many of these mechanisms are based on creating an instance of a vendor-defined CIM class that contains the connection information needed to proxy for the system identified.

adding support for as many vendor-specific proxy configuration mechanisms as possible to StorageIM would be ideal.
