STED will let you map characters between two fonts. then based on the mapping files can be converted back and forth.
this is helpful for people who want to type in their native language. they can use the standard roman keyboard, and type in phonetic form and then use STED to do their mapping and convert to their native language.
ex:
if you map
'a' = 'b'
'b' = 'a'
then the word
'abba'
will be transliterated into
'baab'
you can do the same, between any two fonts. that way you can map the roman keyboard to your own native language keyboard.
