I have initrd file, believed to be squashfs, but maybe old version, with starting "stdn" inside the file (actually squashfs uses 'sqsh' or 'hsqs'). It can be mounted on one system (v2.4 something), type squashfs. I need to change something inside and re-generate (the same version) on 2.6 kernel system. Any idea, how to do this?
Thanks, Michal

I do not recognise the 'stdn' magic value. If this is a squashfs filesystem, then the code has been modified by a third-party to generate an incompatible version. I cannot help with this.

Yes, meanwhile I've got it. And yes, it is exactly as you says.
