I am not sure that 'table names similar' is accurate but it appears that is the case. I have several similarly named tables, for instance-

USERNAME1.COWCOWUDDER
USERNAME1.COWCOWHOOF
USERNAME1.COWCOW

When I double-click in the Tables property page between these three, I find that the Object Viewer does not update to show the new table definition when I transition from either USERNAME1.COWCOWUDDER or USERNAME1.COWCOWHOOF to USERNAME1.COWCOW.
