When the repo is changed to git. We will have to redo the code in speed-dreams/CMakeLists.txt to do autoversioning.
The git revisions are not sequential like SVN's, so we may not even want this anymore?

There is (AFAIK) no plan to move to GitHub. When we change to git, it will just be a change to the revision control backend at SourceForge. As they support git.
