Thanks for your reply even though your answer was deleted for some reason.
I agree sometimes we will ignore the sqrt operation for comparing the distance to speed up the performantce of the program.
but why the formulas (both in SPTK manual and the code) are divided by L (the dimension of the vector space). I think this operation is also reduntant.
