#4334 Index2 updating while scrolling near end

Recently index2 has started adding older stories to the displayed page when I approach the end of the currently displayed page. This is somewhat annoying whenever it happens, but maddening whenever I am scrolling by dragging the scroll bar, since it invariably means that I have to search for the article I was trying to position within the visible window. I haven't figured out how to suppress this behavior; if there is a toggle somewhere, it is too well hidden for my limited sleuthing skills. (This is with Firefox 3.0.7, in case that matters.)
