If you take a look at a URL like
http://apple.slashdot.org/index.pl?section=apple&issue=20040309&mode=
(which is found inside of today's apple.slashdot
section), you get a malformed "Older Stuff" slashbox
on the side.

I've also seen this with links in the Developers section.

How did you get there? I see no link to this page (or one like it)

Found and fixed. The answer to my question was "click on a day of the
week" and the solution was to not accidentally create stories in $stories
once the $stories arrayref was empty.
