SkyJUMP GIS is released

SkyJUMP, a java-based GIS system based on the GPL JUMP system from VividSolutions, has published its first public release for Windows. Linux versions are expected to follow shortly. Following the VividSolutions model, SkyJUMP provides an English-only interface and is targeted towards users in local, state, or federal governments who need professional tools that interface with both open and industry standards. SkyJUMP strives to provide ease-of-use that rivals commercial Windows GIS applications.
