#233 Getting only one result while doing an address booking Serach

Hi,
I just install Pindin with SIPE and it works fine for me although i am facing a issue while search contact. I Searched for a contact with a string a got only one result although multiple name were available in address book contains the string i search as in name. Search result is only working when search string is exact the same as the name.

Version : Pidgin 2.10.7 (libpurple 2.10.7) | SIPE 1.17.0

Expected result : Search result should contain all the name which contains the search string.

That is not a bug in SIPE, it is a limitation of [MS-DLX]'s AbEntryRequest.ChangeSearchQuery.Value.

Thanks a lot for you comment. Do we have any work around to overcome this limitation ?

No, the [MS-DLX] specification does not provide any way to modify the match behaviour or another way to trigger a request to search on multiple fields.
