Did you verify the board with the Java software as a first step? (If you need a hint for building it, have a look at http://peter.stuge.se/spartan-3e-logic-analyzer and if on Gentoo do layman -a stuge && emerge sump-analyzer ) In that app, acquisition is started by clicking, and can run without triggers. I don't know how sigrok handles it, but if you want another data point I'll test your exact sigrok commands with the Spartan board. (Need to see what commands you run though.) //Peter |

However, the commandline client (sigrok-cli) does work well with the OLS. For example this should work: sigrok-cli --samples 64 -o samplerate=1m It takes 64 samples (of all 32 probes on the OLS) at a sample rate of 1 Mhz. Triggers work, too: sigrok-cli --samples 64 -o samplerate=1m -p 1 -t 1=1 -o captureratio=25 That samples just one probe (1), only triggers when it hits 1, and gives 25% pre-trigger samples in the output. I found out that my problems depend on the firmware. I have tried the following versions: [1] 2.1/Logic_Sniffer_8k16bit [2] 2.1/Logic_Sniffer_4k32bit [3] 2.0/8k16bit_outside/Logic_Sniffer [4] 2.0/4k32bit_inside/Logic_Sniffer [5] 2.0/4k32bit_outside/Logic_Sniffer [6] 2.0/8k16bit_outside/Logic_Sniffer The only version that seems to work is [4]. All others have strange effects in the capture programs. Now with firmware [4] I am able to capture data the sigrok-cli. But I have still no clue why the other versions do not work. I would like to have a 16bit version on the OLS. Rainer |

The image in [2] above worked for me as well though, with the exception of probe 32 -- doesn't seem to work even when not using RLE. -- Bert Vermeulen be...@bi... |
