Posting messages through semagic is very easy done offline and then just upload the message to the LJ server.

you can extract your LJ posts to XML by many programs or even the build in LJ XML download option.

No program however allows you to batch upload these XML extracted files as posts.

why would I need it?

let's say, i host my pictures, fotos on my private server, an internet host, and all links on all my posts point to this site.

Now i get a new host with a new domain, many hosting companies don't release your old domain if you get troubles with their services and force you to pay idiotic prices to give free your domain or simply say:"your problem" so you are forced a new domain.

you have to edit all links manually! or not?

NO! is the answer

if you extract your posts to XML, you can use a filetext editor(hundrets are out there, also freeware) to find a specific string inside multiple files, and edit this string to fit your new domain.

i.e. old string:
http://www.old-domain.com/pictures/photo0001.jpg
becomes
http://www.new-domain.com/pictures/photo0001.jpg

now you have all your xml files updated with the new links within a few seconds...but now the problem comes:"how to upload these changes to LJ?"

batch message upload the xml entries would solve it, and i hope semagic will offer this option in the future, because right now, manually open all entries and edit them is just a hell of a job.
