#5552 SCI: ECOQUEST2: Ecorder records but doesn't detect Victoria Lily

You can only record it manually as it the ecorder doesn't turn purple when hovering it. You can't click the eye icon on it either.

As for the eye icon, it only works before you pick up one Victoria Lily. There's no reason why it shouldn't continue to work (unless it's a bug in the original script).

Ok, forget the eye icon thing. It works. As for the Victoria Lily, it's because it only detects one of the four presented. The Ecorder should detect any one of them. It's real easy to miss the small part of the screen which is the right Victoria Lily.

You are supposed to only use one of the four lilies later on. The one that the ecorder picks up is the one that you'll eventually need. If I'm not mistaken, this is exactly what happens in the original as well, so I don't think this is a bug, rather the way that the game is expected to work at that point.

What makes you think that this is a bug, and that the ecorder should pick all of the four lilies?

Most of the the ecorder's detections are unpickable stuff. It makes no sense to detect one lily over the others just because someone randomly decided that's the lily to detect.

It may be a bug in the original game, but I don't know.
