After first install, I get a Smarty error when accessing the home page saying that it can't find the 'includes/templates_c/' folder...sure enough, it's not there. I create one and all was well...shouldn't this be added to the install package?

templates_c is normally included in the download, so I'm not quite sure why it wasn't there. Your other forum posting indicated that you're using an older version of Scritptorium, so that might be the problem. In any event, if it's working now all is well.
