There's been a fairly drastic design change in Scratch, since I realised that it was hopelessly over-engineered. It will no longer be client-server based; instead it will be one executable.
The game engine will remain well seperated from the rest, running on it's own thread and taking commands through a single queue - however this change should make it a lot less complicated without losing much flexibility.... read more
