No

I have the following set in Global Options:

save.recent=1
save.session=1

And though that's always worked in the past, it doesn't work now.

It doesn't remember the session or the recent files.

(When I run "sudo scite", it DOES remember the recent files that I open, but only the ones I've opened under sudo. Those recent files are always visible.)

    Its working for me with the current SciTE 3.3.4 on Linux Mint 15.

    You should change options in User Options since that is retained between installs and won't be in a system directory like Global Options requiring sudo to change.

      I'm running 3.0.2 under Lubuntu 12.04.

      I tried changing options in User Options just now, but no change.

      Oh! But then I purged Scite, and deleted the saved user options and reinstalled Scite and put save.recent and save.session into the new user options and everything is working beautifully so far.

      (I had tried uninstalling and reinstalling before, I'd even had to reinstall Lubuntu entirely for unrelated reasons, and nothing had changed.)

        Good! There may have been some mix up with properties files. One thing that can go wrong with using sudo is that you produce files owned by root which can't be read when you run SciTE as an ordinary user.
