I've used scite with a dictionary (2.8 MB). The
following operations took a VERY long time (on a
celeron 850).
-Replace "a" with "z"
-Any regular expression with a lot of matches and replaces
When i say a "very long" time i compare it with Jedit
and FTE for DOS (which by the way has excellent regular
expressions).
Jedit took 20-30 seconds to do exactly the same thing
and FTE took 5-10 seconds.
Maybe a new search and replace algorithm should be
used here?
Thanks for Scite by the way. I use it a lot and i love
it. It's small and fast for everything i use it (except
the above things).
