GenericName is a tooltip for the Classic Style Menu KDE and is an item for the Modern Style Menu KDE.
And better to use Categories=Qt;Science;DataVisualization; (http://standards.freedesktop.org/menu-spec/menu-spec-1.0.html#category-registry)
I don't know what to do with this, or how to test it.
If you reimplemented this as a pull request on the current head, I'd probably just accept it, provided it doesn't break the build.

I meant it when I said I wasn't sure how to apply. Version 0.2.4 is several years old and well behind the curren development head. I don't know how to merge this file manually, as I don't know what a desktop file is.
