HP Scanjet 2200C USB Driver / News: Recent posts

A fully working driver for this scanner exist in the official SANE distribution.

This news item is just to inform any newcomers of this information.

There now exist two different approaches to the scanjet driver. Ludo Stellingwerff has donated his brains to this project and has created some code with good potential to work good. It is also better written than the previous code and will be a solid foundation for the driver. The code can be found in cvs under scanjet2200c/sane/src/ludo

Updated code to actually read data from scanner. For some stupid reason it only moves a little bit before stopping, but at least we are getting somewhere :-)

The current source in CVS can be used to exercise some functions on the scanner, like moving the scanner head. It also detects the version of the scanner chip used. Help is very much wanted because I don't have so much time to put down in this project myself.
