#1 Constant freezes on rtl8185

Unfortunately the card is in a friend's machine, so debugging will be hard...

When using the driver for a rtl8185 card, the computer will always hang after a few minutes of system use. (2.6.19 kernel)

These seem to be random, as sometimes it will last only a few minutes and others half an hour, but it never lasts an hour before freezing.

No suspicious messages are found in /var/log/messages or when typing 'dmesg'. The freezes are pretty bad, too, since everything stops working - The keyboard, mouse, etc. Only pulling the plug works.

    Maybe it is not the same bug you described, but my keyboard is freezing... mouse still works, so I can cut'n paste a dmesg together to get this bug. This occures randomly.

    Have rtl8185 w/rf8225, and get the freezes. I noted that when using a trendnet usb wireless dongle, that the command
    sudo iwlist (intfc) event
    provides a list of the card's events.

    entering the same command for the rtl8185 when it is active, prior to the freeze, gets no events listed. The command executes normally, just shows no events.
