The stable release 0.6 is getting close! We just published the release candidate version 0.6 which fixes some bugs and unfinished work from the last beta release and which is now feature complete. Everybody is kindly invited to do some more tests with this release and report bugs to our tracker.

We're proud to announce the next major release of the Roundcube webmail package: 0.6 is out now as beta. And it's packed with new features, some of them have been awaited for long time.

So what's new?

* A full-featured address book with rich contact information
The address book UI was finally extended to store rich contact data including photos. We worked hard to create a flexible and intuitive UI to enter and manage the contact data. Along with that, import and export of vcards was improved to support all the new fields. If you have LDAP directories configured as address sources, you might review the configuration and map the new contact fields to the according LDAP attributes using the 'fieldmap' property.... read more

We just published a new release which fixes a recently reported XSS vulnerability as an update to the stable 0.5 branch. Please update your installations with this new version or patch them with the fix which is also published in the downloads section or our sourceforge.net page.

This bugfix release fixes two important bugs in the IMAP communication which prevented sent messages from being saved in version 0.5.2.
We recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube with this new release. See Changelog for details.

This service update brings some more bug fixes and stability improvements and it includes an updated version of the TinyMCE editor which is now supposed to work correctly in IE9.

This update release fixes some bugs discovered with the 0.5 stable version and also improves security by preventing some possible CSRF attacks. IDNA support has now been improved and some visual glitches in IE and Safari have been resolved.

The UI for managing IMAP folders has changed a bit and provides new space for further extensions and plugins.

Our Christmas gift for 2010 is now available for download. We just published the release candidate package for the upcoming version 0.5 of Roundcube. It's now feature-complete with a new UI for the IMAP folder management and improved handling for mailing list headers.

Please download and test this latest release and let us know about things that need improvement. The final version will be ready soon and we already have big plans for 2011.

As you might have heard, also the developers of Roundcube are just human beings and thus not always creating perfect and 100% bug free work. The last 0.4.1 release fixed many bugs but also introduced a quite annoying new one. That's why the next release follows just one week later. It fixes a few important bugs, especially the "Server Error" message when expanding/collapsing folders and it also updates some previously incomplete localization files.... read more

This update release fixes the most important bugs of the 0.4 stable release such as the disappearing upload box or buggy SQL scripts. Further more support for format=flowed has been improved and some localization files have been completed.

After the big new features in 0.4-beta this release now completes the unfinished work and fixes bugs related to the new threaded message listing and address groups features. We also cleaned up the user interface and tried to make all UI elements more consistent.

With this release the skins have been excluded from the GPL license terms (see README file). This allows you to choose whatever license you want for your custom skins and even opens the door for creating commercial skins.... read more

A new major release is now available for deep testing. With this version we fixed over 50 bugs and added new features like threaded message listing and contact groups support as well as many little improvements that make e-mail reading with Roundcube an even better experience.

While it's still called a beta release we consider it to be stable enough for
productive environments. However the new features may have some minor issues which we are happy to hear about.... read more

For the upcoming version 0.4 of Roundcube Webmail we have done some refactoring of the backend code which improves both performance and reliability of the application. These changes now need to be well tested before we continue to implement new features like threaded message listing planned for the 0.4 release.

This is where we need your help! Please download the latest nightly build (r3325) from http://nightly.roundcube.net/ and install it in parallel to your running systems. We're proud to announce the stable release of version 0.3 with the long-awaited plugin API. Now the doors are open to extend Roundcube's functionality and the integration in other web-based systems got much easier. The package includes a default set of useful plugins and some sample code. After getting plenty of feedback for the plugin API which was published in version 0.3-beta we now released an almost-ready version of RoundCube. The reason why this not yet a stable release are some pervasive changes on the IMAP backend in order to improve performance. We'd like our dear users to extensively test this release candidate and submit errors to our bug tracker. The 0.3-stable release will follow soon...

A little service release was just released. It contains some minor bug fixes and a newly added support for STARTTLS in IMAP connections. We recommended to update all installations of RoundCube Webmail to this version.

This service release includes more than 40 bug fixes, security improvements and completes some missing translations. We also added TNEF support to decode proprietary MS Outlook attachments (winmail.dat) and tuned the performance when displaying a message.

This release is considered stable and we recommend to upgrade all existing installations to this version.

The second stable version of the RoundCube Webmail package completes unfinished work from the 0.2-beta release and comes up with about 80 bugfixes as well as some performance improvements. The upgrading process now became very easy with the integrated update script. It's runnable from the shell or from within the web-based installer. Read the UPGRADING instructions for details.

This version is considered stable and we recommend to update existing installations of RoundCube.

There were two security issues reported which are now fixed. The first was as possible code injection using the html2text conversion script. The other exploit used the unchecked size parameters of the quota image to let PHP create huge images eating up all the server memory.

The two vulnerable scripts were updated in the current 0.2-beta package and for existing RoundCube installations we recommend to download http://downloads.sourceforge.net/roundcubemail/roundcubemail-0.2-beta-patch.tar.gz and to replace all the files with the new versions found in the archive.

This new version comes with many fixed bugs and some new features like
- collapsable folder tree
- auto-detection of client language and timezone
- complete TinyMCE integration
- message flagging
- default imap folders configurable for each user/account
- import/export of address book contacts
- support for pspell and syslog.

It's considered as stable and we recommend to update existing installations of RoundCube. Please read the UPGRADING instructions for details. An update script will (hopefully) be included with the next version.
