the package above is installed from this ppa: http://ppa.launchpad.net/berfenger/roccat/ubuntu
Whenever I want to change a setting and I press "Store in device"

I get a "Error creating directory. Permission denied"

At the moment I've verified changing settings via a windows7 VM and I can succesfully change settings.
In ubuntu I get the error I've screen-shotted for you.

That's no bug.
Add yourself to usergroup roccat:
And it works.
I've responded back via email but I don't know if my response will make it in the ticket. Because of that I'm copy/pasting that response here:
Hi Stefan,
I have already added my user(stefan) to the roccat group as part of
the initial install.
These are the groups that my user is part of atm:
§ groups
stefan adm cdrom sudo dip plugdev lpadmin sambashare roccat docker
I've also logged out and logged back in several times since the
initial install, haven't rebooted at all.
What are your thoughts on this ?
Regards,
Stefan
Haven't got a mail from you and should have read the problem more carefully.
What the Ubuntu package seems to be missing are some of the following commands:
I can confirm that after running these 3 commands:
I can change the mouse settings fine.
Thanks for your help and I hope this bug report helped you iron out anything left over in the ubuntu deb packaging. :)
I had the sam problem with "Error creating directory. Permission denied" using Kone Pure and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit. It was no problem in Ubuntu 13.10 saving to device. But after running thoose three commands in the reply above, everything works as before. =) YEEY...
As I'm not responsible for any binary packages you have to bug the builder of the package to fix this.
Good to know, in my haste I thought you're the package maintainer.
I'll send an email to Arturo Casal for the ubuntu package.
Thanks again for your help and for all the effort you're putting into supporting these gaming devices on linux !
