#30 feature request - compare audio files

is there any chance to add a feature to compare two
audio signals? i mean do a substraction of signals
(http://sound.eti.pg.gda.pl/SRS/Spectral_Subtraction.html,
http://eca.cx/lau/2001/11/0091.html\). could be useful
for testing the quality of mp3/ogg compression.

This looks like it will require a good bit of study and
work. So I'll keep it as a possibility, but there are
plenty of other core features that I need to implement first.

However if you're willing and able you might take a stab at
it. I would certainly be glad to give you pointers when/if
necessary.
