No

I am not sure how to corretly report this since finder/terminal etc. all show the unicode characters differently. But something corrupts files or changes them with unicode characters in the name.

To reproduce:
Install iLife on a Mac OS X system either 10.4 or 10.5. Then create a transcript. There will be a lot of unicode files in the directories

/Library/Documentation/Applications/i*/i*\ Getting\ Started.app/Contents/Resources/*.lproj/

Where the * is iWeb/iPhoto/iMovie/iDVD and one of the non-english languages.

upload that transcript to a server and add to the current command file. And then synchronize with a ktcheck.

Now do an fsdiff on /Library/Documentation/Applications/ and you will see that all the files are different even though you just uploaded the transcript.. If you try to lapply you will get a checksum error and the checsum needs to be updated on the server.

This has only been tested on a PPC server running 10.5
