Hello,
I downladed the program and the graphics look very good, and fast!... However,
the shadows cast by atoms are ugly and blocky... is there anyway to change this ?...

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
in the qutemol.cfg file (choose "QuteMol Configuration" from the QuteMol program group).
For example, set it to 2048 (default is 1024). Then save the config file and restart qutemol.
If, after that, it complains on startup about being unable to allocate the shadow buffer, then disabling the DoubleSM flag (by setting it to zero) might help (and, again: save config file, restart qutemol). It will go slower, though.

You probably can use a larger value for
SHADOWMAP_SIZE
in the qutemol.cfg file (choose "QuteMol Configuration" from the QuteMol program group).
For example, set it to 2048 (default is 1024). Then save the config file and restart qutemol.
