The documentation says to place private mibs in ~/.config/qtmib/mibs but for the life of me I can not find the path, I did a search on my computer but no luck! Where do I place this my private mibs?

It is the global configuration directory in your user account:
/home/username/.config/qtmib/mibs
If your mibs are public, I could include them by default in the next version.
