Segmentation fault in latest CVS using global variables.

If you run the attached program, seg fault arise again.
I was unable to reproduce the bug with a simpler script.

    Sorry, I simplified the previous example a bit before I worked on it. The simplified version ran fine but not the full version that you're attaching again. It should be ok now in CVS.
