Although styles changes the area, where is possible to
put text, the \textheight is not changed. It is
viewable by the following example:

\begin{slide}{}
\rule{\textwidth}{\textheight}
\end{slide}

And try various prosper styles.

    The solution can be e.g.

    \let\prosperslide=\slide
    \let\prosperendslide=\endslide
    \renewenvironment{slide}[2][Replace]{%
    \prosperslide[#1]{#2}
    \advance\textheight -\subheight%
    }{\prosperendslide}

    Where \subheight should be some length specific for the
    given environment. Every author of a certain prosper style
    should do this.
