I know the currently used method shouldn't expose the user's password in the process list, but still: Wouldn't it be preferable to deal with this internally? Code might even be adopted from Roundcube (find the corresponding code in roundcube/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_imap_generic.php – lines 90ff, with the current release).
