When orginal (imported) files contains any newlines
(not empty properties, just newline for modularizing
content) that would be nice to keep them on save.
Till 0.51 the file is reconstructed and now
information about them are stored.
Importantce: medium.

Do you mean the original content (all empty lines and
"unused" content)?

yes. I like to divide the content not only via comments,
but also by inserting the newlines between some different
blocks. (for example: 5 properties of window-one and the
next 3 about buttons for this window, etc.)

Ok, with the current implementation all informations about
the original content are lost. Do you have any idea?

1. I have to use simple comments ("#") besides the newline
2. treat the newlines as a comment.
What do you think about that?

It's done and commited into cvs.
From now every, even duplicated comment and every empty
line (length==0) is treated as a comment and reconstructed
on file save.
From now a file edited with Popeye looks exactly the same
way it looked before popeye touched it.
