No

Due to the way some servers implement the metaweblog
and movabletype APIs there may be discrepancies here.
Editing an existing post on the server may cause the
date to be changed to be the current datetime or it may
throw the date completely off. In addition your server
may assume that just because an allow_comments
parameter doesn't get passed in that means
allow_comments should be set to 0 on any edited post.

until such time as all server paramaters are properly
parsed and added to the plogit entry database and
resent upon editing a blog post you should be cautious
when editing an online blog and republishing it.

This is not a problem with version 1.5.2 of wordpress, for
example as it keeps the post date the same and seems to
ignore missing parameters (as blogs should).
