The theme is based on Gaim 2.0 b3 Default theme, with
the [default] set of emotions replaced by ICQ 5.0 emotions.

Two sets of icons are added. ICQ 5.1 emotions (for
aim/icq), and Google Talk Emotions (for Jabber).

does not work with pidgin out of the box.

do the following:
open the theme file with you favorite text editor and rename [Jabber] to [XMMP] and duplicate the [AIM/ICQ] section and rename them to [AIM] and to [ICQ] ...

this should do the trick
